February 3rd
Our United Methodist Youth are heading to Chiloquin, OR with Sierra Service Project this summer. Join us on Sunday February 3rd following worship for a luncheon hosted by our youth to raise money to help pay for the costs of attending SSP. The youth and their families will provide the food. A freewill offering will be taken!
Bring your appetite and a generous spirit!

February 10th
We will celebrate Scout Sunday. Some of the youngest members of our church family will lead us in worship as we honor the ministry of scouting. We’re looking forward to having Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts participate in our worship service.

Throughout the Month
Our Adult Spiritual Formation will meet following worship (February 3rd is the exception) for Five Means of Grace: Experience God’s Love the Wesleyan Way.

Hometown Holidays
Join us in downtown Redwood City from 10am to 2pm for our annual nativity photo booth. Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, and wise ones all welcome!

December 9
Christmas Pageant 10:30am in the Sanctuary
Join us for Katherine Willis Pershey’s A Mary Carol. Journey with Mary and the angel Gabriel as Mary learns what it means to be the mother of God’s own child.

December 22 @9am
Service League of San Mateo County Cookie Pack
We put together Christmas bags of cookies and other treats for people who are incarcerated in the San Mateo County jail.

December 23
A Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
Join us at 10:30am for this 100 year old Christmas tradition that tells the story of Jesus’ birth.

December 24 @7pm
Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship in the Sanctuary

All Saints Sunday – November 4th

Worship

On Sunday November 4th we will remember the saints, both those of the church and those in our personal lives, who are now part of the great cloud of witnesses. There will be an opportunity for sharing pictures of our loved ones, candle lighting in memory of those no longer with us, and holy communion.

Sunday, October 7th @2pm
CROP Walk at Nealon Park in Menlo Park
Join us as we partner with people and congregations from across the Peninsula to raise money for the Ecumenical Hunger Program in East Palo Alto the work of Church World Service across the globe. The walk starts at 2pm (registration begins at 1pm) and .6 mile, 2 mile, and 5 mile walks are available. Two-legged, four-legged, and wheeled walkers are all welcome! Register here.

Wednesday, October 17th @7pm
The League of Women Voters will be at Woodside Road UMC on October 17th to present on the pros and cons of the ballot measures on our November ballot. Everyone is welcome to come learn what’s before us in November!

Wednesday, October 24th @7pm
On the Table Silicon Valley — The Housing Crisis
In late October across the Silicon Valley people will gather in homes, churches, businesses, and community centers for conversations about the housing crisis here in our region. Come be a part of the conversation as we discuss strategies for confronting the housing shortage and the high cost of housing here in our midst.

Saturday, October 27th 5pm-7pm
Halloween Party and Potluck
Come be a part of this time of fellowship and fun! There will be pumpkins, crafts, games, and, of course, a potluck supper! Bring a dish to share (costumes optional, but encouraged).

Stewardship Luncheon
We’ll celebrate after worship all the ways that God is generous to us! Everyone is welcome. No reservations required.

You’re invited to help prepare brunch for First Steps Family Shelter in San Mateo! We’ll cook on Friday and serve on Saturday morning.
