It’s still a ways away, but save Friday, October 20th (5pm to 7:30pm) for volunteering with Redwood Family House as we host a Halloween party for the families who call RFH home.
And on October 29th we will again participate in the Church World Service CROP Walk in Menlo Park! This will be after worship on that Sunday.
More Opportunities to Support LifeMoves
School is back in session and the folks at LifeMoves (and Redwood Family House here in Redwood City) can continue to use our help.
If you can create a backpack for any age child, we can make sure it gets to where it’ll do the most good.
Children’s Sunday School
On September 10th children’s Sunday school will begin (again) for the 2023-2024 school year.
Come join us as we explore the stories of our faith together.
Sunday school takes place most Sundays beginning about 10 minutes into our worship hour.
On the 1st Sunday of the month children remain in the worship service to participate in Holy Communion.
Children are always welcome to remain in the service with their families and friends.
Donation Opportunities at Woodside Road UMC
We have the chance to support the Service League of San Mateo County and Redwood Family House.
If you have unused small size toiletries or paperback books and magazines without staples, we bring these items to the Service League.
For Redwood Family House we are collecting diapers in size 3 and size 5 and items for welcome buckets. Welcome buckets include:
Buckets
Sponges/cleaning rags
Cleaning wipes/disinfectant
Bathroom cleaner
Brooms and dustpans
Lenten Study — Embracing the Uncertain
Beginning on March 1st at 10am, and continuing on each Wednesday morning, we will meet at Woodside Road UMC (in Watters Hall) for this book study. You are welcome whether or not you have read the book (and the book is available online from your favorite bookseller). Reach out to [email protected] if you want to join in a hybrid format.
Ash Wednesday Worship
You are invited into a time of story telling and music as we begin our Lenten journeys.
